Christ Wesleyan Fellowship of Winnfield

Christ Wesleyan Fellowship of Winn began as a church plant. On April 16, 2023, the Sunday after Easter, a group of like-minded believers began to meet in the sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church at 302 South Bevill St in Winnfield, Louisiana. We worshipped together through the rest of April and May while discussing the bylaws and statement of faith that would give the new church its firm foundation. Our members agreed that we wanted a Biblically-based church that would support the Wesleyan pillars of the faith and bring them together to reach others for salvation in Jesus Christ. 

On June 11, the church was made official; articles of Incorporation were filed with the Louisiana Secretary of State on June 15, 2023, as a non-profit organization.  Founding members voted September 24, 2023, to apply to become a member congregation of the GMC.  The application was approved as of October 4, 2023, making us members of the Global Methodist Church. The congregation would be a part of the Eastern Texas Provisional Annual Conference, now the Trinity Conference.

On July 1, 2024, the congregation was thrilled to have Rev. Russell Jones become the first Pastor of Christ Wesleyan Fellowship. Pastor Jones has great enthusiasm for anointed preaching of the inerrant Word of God.

Currently, CWF is still meeting on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings at the Presbyterian Sanctuary. We would love to have you as our guest!
